Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Around fifty cars have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered numerous other marked vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Police state early analysis show the substance was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; investigators are presently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to solve the case" and have asked to the residents for tips.

An important representative said the vandalism left him stunned and required to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the core of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on a platform, recalling the killing of nine victims by a gunman focusing on residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
