I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
